Plasma Amino Acids testing with LabAssist™ |
Amino acids are the fundamental building blocks of life. Eight of these amino acids are considered essential and cannot be produced by our bodies. These must be obtained through our food or by use of dietary supplements. Other amino acids are considered conditionally essential meaning we can make them, but because of our lifestyles or diets, we either do no get enough, or need more than we can make.
The importance of gaining and maintaining balance of these essential components of hormones, neurotransmitters, collagen, bone, muscle tissue, and energy production (among others) cannot be overstated. Since each of your patients are unique individuals with respect to their genetics, environment, stress, and habits, no "one size fits all" plan will work. Determining the correct formula to balance their chemistry as well as providing the appropriate cofactors are why testing is so important.
Primary Conditions for Utilizing this Test: Fatigue, obesity, poor athletic performance, mental/emotional disorders, stress, leaky gut, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and hypothyroidism.
Secondary Conditions for Utilizing this Test: Chronic pain, autism, epilepsy, ADHD, inflammatory bowel, recurrent infections, impotence and infertility
